Intuition

Many people have their own concept of intuition, whether it is that gut feeling or experiencing that “A-ha” moment. When it comes to my thoughts on intuition, they come from a more spiritual place.

My understanding of intuition came about 9 years ago when I started to hear, feel, and just know things about myself and others. I didn't understand how this was happening. For example, one day I was driving off island. I was behind a car coming out of Dunkin Donuts and somehow I just knew the driver was about to get into an accident. I told this to the person I was with. Moments later, right in front of us, a van smashed into the side of the woman's car. We were both shaken and amazed.

On another occasion, I was walking toward work with my hands full of groceries for my co-workers. As I reached the edge of the sidewalk, to cross the street, I heard an urgent, “STOP!” inside my head. I stopped in my tracks, and a car flew right by me. The driver of the car even skid to a stop thinking hit me.

There were many more experiences like those. I didn't understand how or why they were happening.  I began searching for what it was that was informing me, and gave me that urge to stop in my tracks. I began reading books and learning how to meditate.  As I was doing this more answers came. Some of the answers even startled me. I began to see visions, or as I describe them, holograms, of people. Some of the people I knew before they had passed away. Other people I did not know. They all came to me to give me information and guidance. The more I searched for answers, the more information I was given.

Speaking from these experiences, I can share with you that there are two ways we get intuitive information. First, is from energies outside of ourselves. Some people call these energies our Spirit Guides. These guides help us in our daily lives. They constantly influence our mind, keeping us on the right path, and making sure our day goes smoothly. Secondly, is from the energy that resides within us. Some people call this our Soul or Spirit. I have actually seen a person's Spirit leave their body after their last breath was taken.  I have also had a number of ‘out of body experiences' that further proves to me, with 100% belief, that we do have a Spirit body within us. This Spirit is separate from our physical body and is indeed helping to guide our lives.

For example, have you ever been driving home and out of the blue you get a thought that, you should get some milk before you go home? You just ignore that thought,  you get home, and you find you're out of milk. Well, where do you think that thought came from?

Through all my research and life experiences regarding intuition, the main thing I can share with you is; we need to pay attention. Pay attention and listen to the thought that is not your thought. Your day will go smoother and your life will be less stressful.

Whether it is something life saving, like stopping you from stepping out into dangerous traffic, or something as simple as just reminding you to pick up some milk. Your intuition is something that can be very helpful and should be accessed. Learn to listen, and remember that your own Spirit, and those of your guides are all hoping you will pay attention, so they can help you on your journey in this lifetime.
