Letter from the Editor

Welcome to the Winter 2010 issue!
With the hustle and bustle of the holidays a faint memory, now is the time to settle into Winter. Aiming to enjoy it rather than endure it. Short crisp days taken at a slower pace lead into long cozy nights spent in front of a fire, sipping teas, and enjoying comfort foods. The cozy cocoon of Winter wraps us in opportunity to get back in touch with our soul. Some "snow birds" choose to migrate south, missing the insular energy of the Vineyard, when snow covered beaches get a rest and most faces are familiar.
Martha's Vineyard Winter inspires us to reach deep within. We have the time to write our novels, paint our pictures, take that class, go sledding, and spend time with friends; our greatest resource in life. Be sure to read, 'Friends Help Friends Stay Healthy' in our dept. 'For Your Body.' The Island is the ideal spot to, 'Get Inspired.' To give you some additional ideas don't miss, '10 ways to Get Inspired Quickly' in our dept. 'For Your Mind.'
ii magazine provides a platform for your inner voice to inspire others, uplifting us on all levels; our mind, body, spirit, and our Island/earth. When we continue to walk a path of inspiration, even during the cold days of Winter, opportunities will reveal themselves to assist in creating the life of our dreams.
Wishing you all a 2010 filled with Good Health and Happiness, Peace and Prosperity.
With love and inspiration,
